Pimp My Boat? Sorry Randy...

Ten Reasons You Should Be Drinking All Weekend
1. Reduces General Heart Disease - Vitamin B6, found in beer, prevents the build-up of homocysteine, an amino acid which has been linked to heart disease. Higher levels of homocysteine in our bodies can make us more susceptible to vascular and heart diseases.
2. Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) -Case studies have shown that 30-35% of men who drink beer in moderation are less likely to have heart attacks. Polyphenol, an antioxidant, is just as much present in beer as it is in red wines.
3. Reduces Risk of Coronary Thrombosis - Coronary thrombosis occurs when the opening of an artery becomes so small, the flow of blood is blocked. Beer acts as a blood thinner, reducing the risk of a heart attack.
- 4. Reduces Risk of Atherosclerosis -Beer boosts levels of high-density lipoprotein (HDL), the good cholesterol, lowers insulin levels, which is good for non-diabetics because it reduces the chance of developing atherosclerosis, or hardening of the arteries.
5. Reduces Risk of Kidney Stones - It is not 100% certain why kidney stones form. Genetics and diet have played a major role with those individuals who develop them. Kidney stones may be reduced in middle-aged men by 40%. Scientists are unsure if these results were due to the water, alcohol, or hops.
6. Insomnia - A common disorder that affects 1 out of every 10 adults. A good night sleep is beneficial for you energy level and mood. The general affect of beer has a tendency to make one drowsy.
7. Cancer - The hops in beer contain xanthohumol, a powerful antioxidant. Concentrations of xanthohumol occur naturally in dark beer and can assist your body in stopping the early stages of tumor growth.
8. Reduces Osteoporosis - Hops in beer contain phyto-estrogens, a compound that will help reduce hot flashes and fight osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. Beer should not be used as a replacement for estrogen therapy.
9. Lowers Cholesterol - Moderate consumption of beer has been shown to increase the HDL cholesterol and lowers the low-density lipoprotein (LDL), also know as the “bad cholesterol” in postmenopausal women. Analyzed data suggests more than one or two servings per day is not productive and considered detrimental.
10. Hypertension - Studies have shown a 14% lowered risk in high blood pressure by women consuming two or three beers a week. Hypertension is a disease where the blood pressure is chronically elevated.
An average 12oz beer contains 150 calories, no fat, no cholesterol, no caffeine, and is 92% water.

Location: Crescent Bar WA
A resort town on the Columbia River located near the Gorge Amphitheatre and the small town of Quincy Washington. It takes only about 3 hours to get there from Seattle.
Crescent Bar offers great camping, boating and vacationing for the family (only on non holiday weekends). I would NOT recommend taking a family there on Memorial Day or Labor Day because it turns into a huge, raging party.
Prepare yourself on a holiday weekend to wait about an hour to get in to the Sand Trap, which is the local bar in town (serious like the only bar in town) and make sure you have a pretty good buzz going there; it will take a while to get a drink from the bar, and bring some cash to get in but you will find hot chicks riding the bull on Saturdays during the summer.
You can go to crescentbarresort.com they have great camp spots, a marina (for moorage) with a boat launch, also a couple great swimsuit shops, pizza, and ice cream
ABSOLUTLY THE BEST PLACE TO GO FOR Memorial Day, and Labor Day because south of Crescent Bar, lies the BEST sandbar in Washington!! Where you can always find pasties, boobs, beer bongs, jello shots, fast boats, music…. You will probably hear Apple bottom jeans, and I’m on a boat, at least 10 times and girls making out.
This is where we went last weekend. I know it was not a holiday weekend but we went there for a 50th birthday party, and created our own raging party. There were about 30 people that came for the birthday. It was good times there was, pole dancing, jello shots, a bunch of drunks, and even some bull riding.

A Real Life Story
LAKE LEWISVILLE TX– Eager to witness mayhem on the lake, I did not have long to wait. Our boat, piloted by game warden Chip Daigle, hadn’t even cleared the marina when a Jet Ski blasted across our path at full throttle, its white-crested wake smacking our hull like a giant fist.
Daigle hit his siren and ordered the driver to pull alongside.
“Don’t you see where it says ‘no wake zone’?” asked Daigle, pointing to a large sign fixed to a buoy the man had just passed.
“Huh?” the man said, puzzled. Daigle sighed.
“Do you know what ‘no wake zone’ means?” he continued patiently.
“Unh-uh.”
“Do you know what a wake is?”
“No.”
This brief exchange cast a little beam of understanding into why Lewisville Lake, Denton County’s sprawling reservoir, labors under a bit of an unsavory reputation.
Last summer, four people drowned there over the Fourth of July weekend alone; there have already been two drownings this season. Two days before my visit last weekend, Daigle had pulled an exhausting all-night shift, scanning the lake with sonar in search of the body of a 35-year-old boater who jumped in for a swim and never came back up......Click Here to read the rest

No matter your, ahem, tastes, you can probably agree that the latest Bud Light marketing campaign stinks. Not only is "drinkability" an absurd, made-up word, the commercials that feature people "drawing" on the screen seem about ten years behind the technology curve.
Luckily, the ad-makers hired by Anheuser-Busch can still think outside the box every now and again. Take their recent attempt at producing a viral video on YouTube.
Not only is it hilarious, it has raised questions about why an otherwise upstanding beer-maker could possibly want to associate itself with something as low as...(gasp!)...pornography. We know why, sex sells!!
